Bee careful

We all love a bee, and I loved designing the stumpwork 'worker Bee' and 'Queen Bee' kits as a caricature of the species.

Today's gift from nature was a close-up encounter with a couple of bees. I was fascinated to see the difference in colour, size and preferred lodging place. Far from my generic representation, there is so much variety and difference.
